Specification

Unlike other floors on the market, Cathedral Flooring has properties within its design which makes it exceptionally stable. It is forgiving and it's design keeps movement, expansion and contraction to an absolute minimum, making it the safest choice for new developments where problems may occur due to higher than normal moisture and humidity levels.

 

Cathedral Oak Plank flooring & Accessories

 

Cathedral Flooring is available in three thicknesses, 14mm, 16mm and 21 mm with the standard pack consisting of four layers at 2.4m with three full lengths and one cut length. All boards have a micro bevel on the two lone edges only. All Cathedral boards except our Vicarage range are made with full birch WBP plywood with a European Oak wear layer and are certified FSC Mix by Rain Forest Alliance. Boards are supplied unfinished or pre-oiled in clear or a choice of factory colour. We are also able to offer our special treatment and colouring process which include combinations of distressing, fuming and colouring. These are special order only. Accessories such as skirtings. architraves, thresholds and stair tread & riser sets are also available. All our accessories are designed to achieve the best possible finishing detail.

Overall thickness of only 16mm, this floor has a lower thermal resistance ensuring energy efficiency. Good choice for installations over "renewable - underfloor heating systems operating on low temperatures" but still having the added durability of a 6mm wear layer. Must be fully bonded down to a suitable substrate. Not to be fitted as a floating floor. Resistance 0.0764 m2k/w - Conductivity 0.17 W/m.k - Conductance 0027m2k/W - Togg 0.941 togg

Board length 2.4m with 3 full and 1 split board per pack. This avoids a regular joint structure when the floor has been laid. As testing will not be completed within the coming year 2012-13 this floor is not recommended or guaranteed for use with Underfloor Heating. This is not a structural floor in its own right. Can be fitted as a floating floor over suitable load bearing substrate.
